The
Importance of Proper Education
Education is an important thing for human. Education can be a
big factor for someone’s life, especially having proper education. Good and bad
someone’s life can determine how good or how effective education that they get
to begin with. Even if certain people with lower education have a good and
proper life, but it is rarely happened. They usually get it since they are
born, which is from their parents. That’s why proper education still takes a
big part of the success and lacking proper education can jeopardize someone’s
life. Moreover, having proper education is not only about success, having a
better life or better future. Having proper education is more than those
things. Education is not only to equip people to have better life, but it also
to create an awareness of social and environmental realities and inculcate in
them scientific temper, independence of mind and spirit which are of paramount
importance for them to become responsible citizens (Mehta & Rakhi, 1997).
The aims of education are more complex and it affects all parts of life. There
are several reasons for the importance of proper education.
Firstly, it will create a better mindset and character of
human. As we know, the aim of education is not only about gaining knowledge. It
is also about how we can create a better mindset and character. Proper
education will help us to build and develop our mindset and behavior to be
better than before (Hanson, 2016). The education taught us to be better people
that have a rational mindset and proper character. In education, we usually
follow certain phases to be mature, wise and having a good attitude. When we
skip having proper education, it will hamper us to have a better mindset and
character. Proper mindset and good character are the basic things that we need
to face the real world. Therefore, without those things we cannot survive in
real life.
Furthermore, it will develop proper knowledge. The main
purpose of education is to achieve knowledge, in order to develop proper
insight. The processes of education give us tons of knowledge. The purpose of
education is to provide students with academic knowledge and skills in order to
prepare them in the workforce (Oregon State University). As we know, there are
transferring-information processes happening in education. The more time we use
for education, the more knowledge we can gain. As a result, it can make us
up-to-date and aware with knowledge development.
Besides, it will create a better future. Most people might
say proper education can bring better future and better life. It happens
because proper education can give us big chances to have a good career. How
high education we have can be a factor for us to enhance the better life of us.
Education can help us in achieving new heights in our life which is a better
life (Ajay, 2016). Education can be a medium for us to strengthen the
knowledge, behavior, and character that we need in order to have a better job
and better life. Education is the vehicle of knowledge, self-preservation and
success (Ajay, 2016). Therefore, if we don’t have proper education, we can’t
create a better future.
In brief, having proper education is very crucial for human.
Proper education can lead us to create a better mindset and character, develop
proper knowledge and create a better future as mentioned above. In the same
way, Professor Drever in Education
in Emerging India (2015, p. 12) states that “education is a process in
which and by which knowledge, character and behavior of the young are shaped
and molded”. If we have proper education, we will see the obstacles as
challenges to overcome with no fear in order to face new things. That is why
proper education is important and one of the keys to success.
